Sub-topic                      : Choosing suitable materials

Learing objectives         : Pupils should be able to

1)     understand that heat insulators are used to keep things hot or cold.

2)     state 3 from properties of materials.

Learning Outcomes       : At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:-

1.     identify suitable material to keep things hot and cold correctly

2.     classify suitable material to keep things hot and cold

3.     name the properties of materials.

1. Teacher tells a story about a mother who kept her food in different container.
2. Then realise that some changes occur in the temperature of the food.
3. According to the story teacher introduce the topic choosing material.

1.     Teacher paste some picture on the black board.
2.     Then teacher ask some pupils to choose the suitable materials to keep things warm and cold.


        














1.     Teacher divides the pupils into 6 groups.
2.     Each group will be provided with a towel, cotton wool and and empty bottle.
3.     The pupils have to cover the bottle after hot water poured in it and take the temperature.
4.     Then the pupils have to predict the result.
5.     Later for 10 minutes, the pupils have to take the reading of the water for every one minute.
6.     After that teacher discuss with the pupils about their prediction and the water temperature for 10 minutes.

Conclusion
- Some materials keep things hot and cold whereas other materials keep things warm.

1.     Teacher has a game named Jumanji.
2.     The pupils have to work in group.
3.     The group members have to rotate the dice.
4.     Before rotate the dice they have to answer teacher’s question.
5.     The group which answers the question correctly only can rotate the dice.
6.     Number that they got from the dice will be moved in the Jumanji.
7.     The group which is in the highest place will be considering as a winner.

1.     Teacher asks the pupils about today’s lesson overall.
