Learing objectives : Pupils should be able to know the different types of materials around us.
Learning Outcomes : At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:-
1. identify the properties of materials around us.
2. classify the materials around us according to its properties.

Orientation (5 minutes) | Introduce the topic by asking roleplay a pupil. Ask the pupils :- 1) Is that towel and paper absorbing water? 2) Why both of them absorbing water? | 1. Teacher asks a pupil to wipe water on the table with a towel. 2. At the same time, teacher asks another pupil to wipe water on the table using a plastic. 3. Then teacher discuss with the pupils about their opinion about the two pupils different activity. 4. Eliciting of ideas (10 minutes) Reconstructing ideas (20 minutes) | To identify pupils prior knowledge about properties of materials. Example :- - Nail cutter à Conducts electricity - Nail cutter à Conducts heat - Plastics ruler à Floats on water - Handkercheif à Absorbs water - Glove à Can be stretched - Glass à Allow light to pass through Pupils recognize the properties of materials by themselves by doing experiment.
| 1. Teacher asks the pupils to write some examples of materials on the black board. 2. Later teacher discuss with the pupils about the properties of the materials that they have written on the black board. 1. Teacher divides the pupils into 6 groups. 2. Each group will be provided with one material to recognize the properties of the material. 3. After recognize the properties of the materials, they have to change the things with other group. 4. Meanwhile teacher gave each group a table.and the pupils have to complete it while doing the activity. 5. Application (15 minutes) Reflection (10 minutes) | Conclusion - Different materials have different properties. | 1. Teacher divides the pupils into 6 groups. 2. Teacher will give each group a envelope containing puzzle. 3. The pupils have to combine the puzzle and make it to a picture. 4. According to that picture, the pupils have to state the properties of materials. 5. The group which finishes early and all correct will be consider as a winner. 1. Teacher asks the pupils to sit in a group. 2. Later teacher plays music. 3. Meanwhile teacher give a pupil a ball and ask he/she to pass it to others. 4. When the music is stopped the pupils who hold the ball have to choose a number from 1 to 10. 5. According to that number teacher will asks question. 6.
