Learing objectives : Pupils should be able to understand that some materials can allow light to
pass through.
Learning Outcomes : At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:-
1. state 3 properties of materials.
2. classify the materials based on their abilities to allow light to pass through.

Orientation (5 minutes) | Introduce the topic fantastic materials by showing a video clip about a dancing group. Ask the pupils :- 1) What you can see in this video clip? 2) Why we cannot see the peoples who wearing black colour t-shit? 3) Why we can see the people who wearing white colour t-shirt? | 1. Teacher show the pupils a video clip about a dancing group. 2. Eliciting of ideas (10 minutes) Reconstructing ideas (20 minutes) | To identify pupils prior knowledge about fantastic materials.
Modify pupil’s prior knowledge about fantastic materials by design a fair test.
| 1. Teacher asks the pupils to match the correct fantastic material with its name. 2. Then teacher ask the pupils to write an example on transparent, translucent and opaque materials on the black board. 1. Teacher divides the pupils into 6 groups. 2. Each group will be provided with some materials. 3. The pupils have to identify and classify the materials according to its properties. 4. After complete it, teacher will discuss the answer. 5. Then teacher asks two pupils to come infront of the classroom. 6. Then teacher ask one pupil to stand behind the door and another pupil to stand behind the window. 7. Later teacher ask other pupils to see the two pupils. 8. Application (15 minutes) Reflection (10 minutes) | Classify the things according to trasparent, translucent and opaque.
Conclusion - Some materials allow light to pass through. | 1. Teacher will divide the pupils into 6 groups. 2. Teacher will paste 10 pictures around the lab. 3. The pupils have to regonize the 10 pictures around the classroom and classify them according to the transparent, translucent and opaque materials. 4. The group that finishes early will be consider as winner. 1. Teacher have quiz in the classroom. 2. Teacher will ask each group a question, the pupils have to discuss among their group members and answer the questions. 3. If they cannot answer the question the question will given to other teams to answer. 4.
